About CBD

What is CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a compound extracted from cannabis that provides health benefits without feeling high. All of the CBD offered on our site is derived from industrial hemp.

Hemp vs. Marijuana

The terms hemp and marijuana are both used to describe the plant called Cannabis. More specifically the term “hemp” is used to describe cannabis plants which contain less than the legal amount (<0.3%) of the psychoactive compound found in cannabis called tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). “Marijuana” is a term used to describe cannabis plants that contain over the legally allowed (<0.3%) levels of THC.

Is CBD safe? Are there any drug interactions?

Yes CBD is safe! There are little known side effects of using CBD with what research has been done. However we always recommend consulting with your physician and\or pharmacist before starting anything new as although considered safe, there are drug interactions that COULD occur. They are finding that CBD can heighten or counteract the effects of some medications.. causing you to need less of certain medications to achieve the same effect or on the other hand make your medications ineffective. For this reason it is important to do research and speak with your doctor and/or pharmacist first. It is not intended for use by pregnant or nursing women. Users who ingest a very large amount of CBD may experience some dizziness or grogginess.

Will I get high or fail a drug test?

No, CBD will not get you high and this is the reason we are only allowed to sell CBD containing under 0.3% THC levels. And because of the extremely small to nonexistent amount in your CBD (depending on what type of CBD you choose) you will not likely fail a drug test. However, we do not recommend someone who has to submit to drug tests to take a full spectrum CBD. In cases like this we recommend a broad spectrum or isolate form of CBD, for there is a slight chance the small amount of THC from full spectrum or “whole plant” varieties might show up on sensitive tests.
